What is Professional Branding Photography?

Professional branding photography is a private session for business owners.  These sessions can focus on the client, their products, or a little bit of both!  These sessions are less formal than a headshot session, and more organic than a product photography session.  Professional branding sessions should focus on showing off your unique personality and style – think of them as business lifestyle sessions.

Professional branding photography images are perfect for social media.  They work great on websites, in advertisements, or in marketing materials.  If you own a business, your public image is the face of that business, and you want to make a great impression that’s consistent with high quality materials.  Any place you want to market your business – do it with a quality photograph!

Who needs Professional branding photography?

Anyone who owns their own business. Realtors, fitness experts, consultants, coaches, models, sales professionals, musicians, authors, bloggers…the list goes on and on. Engaged in direct sales on social media? You need Professional Branding Photography. Literally any entrepreneur can benefit from a well-planned branding session with a skilled photographer. We can help you differentiate your business and stand out from the pack.

Why is photography important for Professional branding?

Marketing is all about connection. People are drawn in by warmth. The right image sets a tone, makes a consumer curious to learn more, and draws them into your process. High-quality images for use on social media or in marketing help a business owner tell their unique story.  The right images will convey your unique personality and help build a connection between you and your audience.

What do you need to do to prepare?

I encourage my clients to prepare for their photoshoot by focusing on self-care. You can leave the portrait details to me! Here are some suggestions, depending on what suits your personality and business needs. When you feel great, it shows. So, consider:

  • Getting a manicure or pedicure
  • Finalizing your wardrobe, including ironing and locating accessories
  • Gathering any products or props you might want to use
  • Groom and/or exercise animals if they are to be incorporated into the session
  • Tidy your house or yard for home-based shoots
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Drink lots of water
  • Do a practice run on makeup and hairstyles, or book styling appointments
  • RELAX AND ENJOY THE PROCESS! Ultimately, there is no right or wrong way to prepare. Do what makes you feel your best, and it will show through in the photography. I promise we’re going to have fun along the way.
